Our Story

The Lions Alzheimer’s Foundation (LAF) was launched in Perth, Western Australia, in 2016, after more than 10 years of fundraising from Lions clubs throughout Australia.

Previously, the Lions Club of Claremont Nedlands, 201W1, and the Lions Club of Bullcreek, 201W2, managed the Alzheimer’s research fundraising and awareness programme supported by many other dedicated Lions members around Australia, paying particularly attention to our original committee members from the South Perth, Carine, Gosnells and Moora Lions Clubs.

Fundraising

In the last ten years, Lions members in WA have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding for equipment and Alzheimer’s research.

Members go out into the community to raise funds through various activities.
